The first season follows a successful tattoo studio in Bondi Beach, Australia and the events surrounding the shop owner calling in Mike Diamond, star from NY Ink, to help them prepare the store for the busiest summer season in history. Mike decides that he will need to bring in superstar tattooist Megan Massacre from New York to assist the young team. Once Megan gets into town the management crew go through the painstaking task of whipping the team into shape.

The shop sees some incredible summer stories put into ink and, in amongst the stress, Megan and the team manage to have a lot of fun and forge bonds that will last a lifetime, alongside a cast of superstar guest tattooists and celebrity customers.
