After the Parlotones performance the judges let 14 contestants know that they were through to the Top 15. With the last two contestants Josslynn Hlenti from Durban and Kerry Sanssoucie from Johannesburg left the judges let the public vote for who they wanted to see in the Top 15. The following week the results were revealed and Kerry was chosen to take up the last place in the Top 15.

Ithana Conjwa withdrew from the competition due to health reasons a day before performing in the non-elimination round broadcast on 12 September

On 10 October, it was announced that there would be no elimination that week, and would resume the following week.[14] All seven contestants went on to perform their prepared showstopper songs.

This season, instead of the usual Top 16, a Top 12 was announced on 21 August 2022
