Date: 2007-12-27 13:05:09 User: Chevy looks great and hasn't missed anything comically. The ensemble cast are lively and work well together. Penelope Miller brightens and bounces, and she reacts to the action perfectly. There is nothing groundbreaking story-wise, but the peppy pace and mirthful badinage merit this film a wider release. It is a good comedy to see with your spouse and parents, as it has a vintage slap-sticky feel from the 80's(in a good way). I could be nostalgic, but I prefer this to any Will Ferril or Adam Sandler film anytime. The music is well done, but the rockier bits in the party scene jolt the eardrums. No need to assault our hearing by trying to energize a scene. I'm really glad for Chevy giving us another comedy, and everyone else who presumed(correctly) that a mature yet goofy film like this can be made in 2006.
