| ...to redeem the second one. The 1st one was fresh, relatable, & to a certain extent...mature. This one feels like it was made for children. It lost some of the spice from the earlier film. The director was also not the same so the end result was far from the 1st one. However Reese is prettier than ever, she is still very much Elle Woods. However, while the Bend & Snap of the 1st one was hilarious...the snap cup was not. Selma Blair not being in the second one also did not make sense. It would have been nice to see Warren again too-maybe he had redeemed himself and would Reese & her bill. I haven't been this disappointed in a sequel since Deanna Durbin's sequel to Three Smart Girls, Three Smart Girls Grow Up. Overall for die-hard Reese fans must have this in their collection, even major Legally Blonde fans will slightly enjoy this picture. While girl-power was the main theme of the first one as in the second one, in the 1st one it worked, the 2nd one was just corny. However, the character Elle Woods would work for a third picture, as long as it followed the 1st and ignored the 2nd. |
