Date: 2008-02-02 11:40:40 User: Spawn suffered from one problem in my opinion: inconsistency. With scenes of spectacular special effects (the clown transformation to the violator; the roof entrance by Spawn), poor acting, scenes of not-so-good special effects (the whole hell scenery), as well as much needed vulgarity (3rd grader insults just don't have the impact), make this a mediocre picture. I'ts unfortunate too, since some scenes really did stand out, but it was too dark for its own good in some parts, and too comic book like in others. It never found a comfortable spot. One last highlight, John Leguizamo is virtually unrecognizable as the clown due to excellent makeup effects.
