| Wow did I love all the SE Hinton books and movies growing up. Outsiders, That Was Then This is Now, Rumblefish - they were all great. As Stud says, The Outsiders plays like a who's who of young actors. Matt Dillon is great as the hood with a heart of gold who knows just what to do when Ponyboy and Johnny get themselves into trouble, and the chemistry between C Thomas Howell and Ralph Macchio is good as well. I'm kind of scared to watch this movie now - I have a feeling that it might not have aged well. |
