If you like predators and aliens, you'll enjoy the film.
It has a lot of action and some violence that doesn't pretend to be anything more then cynical. And why should it? I don't understand the complaints much about this film, the first one with Arnold had him getting punched by the predator and flown through the air? Would a futuristic cold blooded reptile ever bother to punch someone? This was never a realistic franchise. And Sigourney Weaver runs around like a female Rambo in the alien franchise . . .
I don't see the big veer away from realism in this film as bothersome.
The characters too were good, they were believable and strong. Small town kids with some cliché lives--i don't see any issue here.
They acted their roles well, no over-dramitizing, a believable use of profanity.
This franchise was never made for those under 10.
So if you are disturbed by some of the violence, you were pretty silly to see this movie in the first place.
So yeah, 7 out of 10 for giving the movie going public what it expected and not being too afraid to be violent and liberal in profanity. |
