Dead Silence movie comments

Date: 2007-12-17 23:37:52 User: Kareem Quarles I remember when i was a kid and going down to the local rental store with my cousin and renting horror movies. I grew up in the mid-west and lived in a house with a big backyard that was the woods. Silly horror movies and good horror movies would scare the crap out of us, which brings me to DEAD SILENCE. DS reminds me of the movies i watched as a kid and though it was entertaining, there are certainly flaws to be found. Mainly by the man looking for his wife's killer. He ends up doing things that is just so idiotic but well within the realm of horror movie cliché's. The ending, was the best part, i never saw it coming and can honestly say, the ending saved the movie for me. Often times the ending sucks so bad that it discounts the movie as a whole but this is the opposite. I found DS to be enjoyable and scary at times, there were even moments when i would get goosebumps, mainly when Mary shaw would appear.
